Meet the Professional Eye Care Team
Professional Eye Care opened its doors to the public in November of
1993. Our original ofice was located across the street from our
current location in a 1200 square foot space (Main & Trade)
with only one full time employee. We have now moved across the
street into the old Hope Mills Town Hall with state of the art
equipment and a staff of 17 including three doctors.
Now we have the region's finest selection of eyewear , an optical
lab on site, and the latests equipment for the treatment and
management of eye disease. We provide eye care for all ages from
pediactrics to geriatirics at both locations.
We began providing eye exam serives adjacent to Sears Optical in
Fayetteville in June of 1995.
We take great pride in providing a caring touch with the lastest in technology.
Our team of experienced and trained doctors genuinely care for our patients’ general health. Here is a quote from one of our regular patients. His regular eye exams led to the diagnosis of diabetes and saved his life.
I have been seeing Dr. Raynor for the past ten years. He has always taken care of my eyes. I have worn contacts for over ten years. About four years ago, I was having trouble with my vision. I thought it was probably something wrong with my contacts, so as usual I went to see Dr. Raynor. My vision had changed so he gave me some contacts with the new prescription to try. He also told me it was odd for my prescription to change like that at my age, 45. He asked me if I had been feeling OK and was concerned that I may have diabetes. I told him that I had been thirsty and drinking a lot of water lately. He persuaded me to see my family doctor. I went directly to an urgent care and my blood sugar was over 800. I spent the next six days at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center. All the doctors told me that I should have been in a coma. I have been on diabetes medicine since that time. Dr. Raynor still takes care of my eyes, as well as my family and friends. I don’t know what may have happened to me if my diagnosis was not made. I cannot thank to Dr. Raynor enough. - Danny T
