About Your Medical Insurance

We accept many types of major medical insurance plans. Major medic insurance is used for medical eye problems such as glaucoma, cataract infections and trauma. Vision problems like nearsightedness or astigmatisms are not covered under major plans, but are generally covered by vision plans. There are some plans that offer both medical and vision coverage.

We are here to help answer questions and to find specifics for you as to what each of your plans cover.

FAQs

We see plenty of patients and many of them have questions regarding their insurance. We’ve included some our most frequently asked questions regarding insurance here and will expand the list as necessary.

Q: Should I use my Vision Insurance or my Medical Insurance?
A: If you have symptoms which are a result of an eye illness or injury it will become necessary to bill your services as a medical problem. If you have insurance coverage, the services will be filed under your medical insurance rather than your routine vision insurance.
